Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with proven experience in interior fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost planning, estimation, budgeting, and contract administration to ensure that projects are delivered within budget and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, and material take-offs based on drawings and specifications.
- Ability to read civil drawings, take-off door quantities, prepare ironmongery schedules, estimates quotations.
- Evaluate tender submissions and recommend awarding of contracts.
- Conduct cost analysis and value engineering.
- Track project budgets and ensure cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assess and certify subcontractor payments, variations, and final accounts.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and site teams to ensure accurate forecasting and timely reporting.
- Review and negotiate contracts, including procurement of materials and services.
- Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contract conditions, and legal requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a Quantity Surveying role within an interior fit-out company.
- Strong knowledge of local market rates, materials, and suppliers.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and QS software (e.g., Candy, CostX, or equivalent).
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines under pressure.
